1. Quote intake
You start with your ZIP code, project type, approximate square footage, whether you need permitting or engineering help, and your timeframe. This takes a couple of minutes on the quote form and gives us enough to scope the project.
2. Scope and jurisdiction confirmation
We confirm your city/county and check what that jurisdiction typically requires for a residential permit—whether a standard Full Architectural set is enough, or whether engineered details are required. This determines which package tier fits your project.
3. Agreement and initial payment
Once scope and price are confirmed, work begins after the initial payment—standard terms are 50% down, with the remaining 50% due at completion.
4. Drafting
We produce the drawing set sheet by sheet—site plan, foundation, floor plans, elevations, section, roof plan, and electrical (plus engineering sheets if your package includes them).
5. Review and revisions
You review the draft set and request changes before it's finalized. Building in your feedback early is the easiest way to avoid costly changes once drawings are submitted for permit.
6. Final delivery
Once approved, you receive your final, dimensioned plan set—ready to submit to your building department and hand off to your contractor for pricing and construction.
What happens after drafting
Once you have your plan set, the next step is usually submitting for a permit. Read How the Permit Process Works to know what to expect.
